So I just got kicked for saying a word in a different language in mains. I had no intention of saying any slur, and I didn’t even know it was one. A guy before me said that word, and my friend quoted “Elite ball knowledge,” so I got curious and said the same thing. But I literally got kicked for 2 hours just for saying it. And please, I’m not saying my kick was unfair or anything. This post is all about the duration of the kick and favoritism, because that guy was still chatting on mains. I don’t know if they kicked him or not, but I’m sure it wasn’t as long as a whole 2 hours. You guys can scroll through the chats for proof yourselves. I’m genuinely pissed at such favoritism in moderation and showing personal feelings at work. I don't have a lot of kick either.

Well, I believe this has less to do with favoritism and more to do with confusion. The non-English word that was used has a meaning that could fall under the i.n.c.e.s.t clause. Can also be used in a non sexual way, I take it. So the moderator involved went the first route. You all should realize that what you say on the chat can sometimes be misconstrued and get you in trouble. Double meanings are hard to deal with, especially when you're dealing with non-English words that are not supposed to even be on the main chat.
 
I agree that I broke the rules by sending a non-English word, and I want to repeat that I have no issue with the kick itself. I won’t defend myself because I know speaking non-English isn’t allowed. However, I’m talking about the 2 hour kick duration, and I don’t know whether one should also add a meaning that can be interpreted differently. I genuinely didn’t know its meaning, and most people wouldn’t if they don’t know the language. So adding that under a ‘speak English only’ rule feels a bit absurd. That said, I’m not concerned about that part if it’s considered a slur, because it was my mistake to use it without realizing.
Regarding favoritism, the kick should’ve been handled as soon as he used the word, but he used it before me and still no action was taken against him. So you're telling me that the mod took second option for him and a first one for me. I can even provide the username of that person if needed.
 
The reason it was a 2 hour kick was because the moderator got confused with the double meaning and thought it to be in.cestuous which is an immediate max kick from a moderator

Alright, that clears up my doubt, and I don’t want to drag this any further. But I do have one question why was I the only one affected by this “confusion”? And now that it’s been clarified, what about the kick that happened because of this confusion?

Also if possible, I do want to know which mod kicked me, because I don’t have any beef with anyone that they're telling you it was confusion. (optional)
