Need understanding.

I have had this crush for a while and I want to know your thoughts on this.

I known this girl for 2 years developed a crush this year and I wanted to know if I am being dragged along, doesn’t have feelings, or if this girl actually likes me.

There are times where she is very affectionate and shows signs of liking me such as leaning on my back, playing with my hair, and signing she loves me (she knows that I know a bit of sign language). Then next thing I know she feels awkward when I try to show affection back, she knows I have a crush on her and I did ask her out once but she last minute canceled.

I don’t know if she is nervous or something and I don’t mind just being friends but she never gives me an explanation of how she feels or reasons on why she canceled on the date. Please give me what your thoughts on this is.

I don’t know if this is still relevant since you posted this a while ago, but honestly, I think she might like you. The stuff you mentioned, like playing with your hair and leaning on you, definitely sounds like she’s comfortable with you.

At the same time, it’s hard to know if she actually wants something more. She might be nervous, or maybe she just sees you as a close friend. Since she canceled the date and never explained why, I wouldn’t read too much into every little thing she does.

If you’re still talking to her, I’d probably just ask her about it. It doesn’t have to be some huge serious conversation. Just tell her how you feel and ask what she thinks. If she only wants to be friends, at least you’ll know and you can stop worrying about it so much.
