How to reject someone politely

There's someone who loves me and wants us to be together, but I don't want to for many reasons. He's persistent, and the problem is I've made him wait, telling him I need time to think, but I still don't want to. I need help with a good response to him. He's a kind person, to be honest.

(idk ur reasonings but imma give u a guide)

“Hey,( or whatever ur chosen greeting) I know we’ve been talking about this for a while and I really care about you but I just don’t think it would be good for us to get into a relationship with eachother.”

Then u can add “ sometimes you do X,Y, Z and it doesn’t align with what I’m looking for in a relationship”

End with “but you’re still a good friend, and I want to keep being friends” (or however u want to end it)
