Yeah, honestly I think you’re right, you either give a thumbs up, laugh your face off, fall in love, look sad, or look really mad LOL. There aren’t really any peaceful or subtle reactions that you can use instead, so I’d say that the most used option is the thumbs up.

I'd say that I'm more of a night owl. Though I'm not up until like 4 in the morning, I still do sleep during some of the morning.
